Regal Research Adds Doosan 5 Axis Lathe and Programmable Sheet Metal Brakes

PLANO, TX , November 15, 2020  – Year after year, Regal Research has continued to reinvest in equipment, facilities, and resources as part of a long term strategic expansion.  2020 has been no exception even in the face of the worldwide response to COVID-19.  We are pleased to announce the addition of the Doosan Puma SMX2600ST high precision 5 axis lathe with integrated milling capabilities, the Haas VF-4SS CNC vertical mill, and the Trumpf TruBend 5130 programmable sheet metal brake.  Both pieces of machining equipment compliment the over 25 other pieces of CNC equipment in our machining department, whereas the addition of the TruBend 5130 is part of Regal Research’s offline brake programming initiative that will play a vital role in the company’s continued capabilities and capacity expansion at the 1200 E Plano Parkway facility.  “We produce a very high mix of machined and complex sheet metal parts that go into the sub-assemblies and product level builds that we produce.  Having a larger diameter, higher precision 5 axis lathe with integrated milling capabilities in addition to our expansion into offline sheet metal brake programming with the TruBend 5130 will allow us to continue to maintain the high quality and on time delivery that our customers require.” said Greg Jernigan, Board of Directors member at Regal Research and Manufacturing.
